New Website Helps Local Service Providers Find Work

Aspen, CO–- A new website in the Roaring Fork Valley helps locals get connected with one another to make extra money on the side or find a worker to get a job done. HireMeAspen.com enables workers to post a profile promoting their services in a multitude of job categories for a minimal charge, while hirers can find a worker for free.
The newly launched site is an online service directory connecting workers to hirers. From carpenters to website developers, fly-fishing instructors to interior painters, dog walkers to landscape designers, HireMeAspen.com offers over 200 specific jobs in nine main categories. Those categories are: Automotive, Entertainment, Home Repair, Household Services, Instructors, Lawn Services, Personal Services, Pets and Professional Services.
“As a part-time local and burned-out professional during this tough economic recession, I found myself looking to earn extra money to supplement my income,” says Connie Hammond, founder of HireMeAspen.com, a Sharing Profiles website. “Yet, there wasn’t a proper forum to present my variety of skills to the local community. That’s how the idea of Sharing Profiles came about.”

Holding two to three jobs is the norm for locals living in the Roaring Fork Valley. HireMeAspen.com offers part-time workers, independent contractors and small business owners the ability to market their services throughout the area by posting easy-to-create and informative profiles. Each member’s profile can appear in up to 15 different job categories.
“My goal was to create a place where the hard-working locals can showcase their talents and expertise in a professional, yet fun and laid-back way,” says Hammond. “I believe the side job is becoming the new 401k.”
HireMeAspen.com offer hirers an added sense of comfort because of the detailed information displayed in each worker profile. Members can include details about themselves and their work history, set rates and availability, and list a variety of credentials on their profiles. To ensure the quality of workers in the database, each profiled member can get rated and recommended by friends, colleagues and most importantly, hirers.
Additionally, profiled workers can connect with their friends and colleagues, join a crew, upload work photos and link out to their website or other personalized social media sites.

Because most people have more than one skill, each membership entitles the worker to showcase their profile in up to 15 different job categories, increasing their chances of getting hired. So if a local teaches guitar, bartends, fixes computers, loves dogs and enjoys gardening, she can post a profile to appear in those relevant job categories.
The fee to post a profile and be included in the database of workers is $5 per month based on an annual membership. “When you think about it,” says Mary Tanguay, a HireMeAspen.com profiled member and hirer, “that’s only the cost of one glass of wine at a restaurant! It’s really an economical way to market your services and make some extra money.” Hiring a worker and posting jobs on HireMeAspen.com is free.
HireMeAspen.com also offers a referral program where workers can earn a gift card to either Target, Costco or City Market when they refer a friend who signs up for an annual paid membership.

Not only does HireMeAspen.com help workers secure side jobs, but the Partner Program enables workers to save money, too. Local restaurants, retail stores and service businesses can offer members a discount in exchange for patronizing their businesses.
